DescriptionThe image is a mountain landscape in which male figures work with surveying equipment. A large center mountain has had its left side face cut away while the mountain to the left has had its front side removed. The suggestion of a road begins at the base of the mountains and curves off the canvas and returns on the lower right corner to run along the right side of the composition and into tunnels in the distance. Three male figures can be seen, two in the right foreground and one in the left middle ground.
