DescriptionThe image is a landscape of a high plains range that serves as a setting for an old log or wooden structure that has become derelict. The roof of the structure is missing the majority of its planking so that the skeletal framing is visible. In front of the structure the grasses have a dried golden hue; behind the structure the grasses are green. In the background are dark mountainous hills above which are white clouds that darken into gray. The application of the paint seemed to be with either a heavily loaded brush or a palette knife.
