DescriptionThe image is a landscape used as a setting for three female figures clothed in sheer Grecian-style gowns. Two figures stand just right of center on the sandy foreground, the figure on the left has her back to the viewer with her left arm held up and the hand placed on her head; the second figure stands to the right facing the viewer with both hands to her side. Rocky cliffs fill the left side of the composition behind the front figures while the sandy ground extends back on the right where a third figure stands. Sky fills the upper right corner of the composition.
