DescriptionThis is the left panel of the triptych. It depicts a battle scene between figures in black and white samurai-like armor and figures wearing colored peasant-like clothing. Most figures are holding a sword or a spear. Visible in the background outside the open wall of the building is a snowy landscape and one arm of the house. There is a painted screen knocked over in the center of the work. In the foreground a peasant figure stands with one foot on a snow-covered frame thrusting a spear down towards a prone armored figure.
