RICHARD D. HULL

born 1945
Biographyis a printmaker, painter, draftsman (colored pencil, etc.), and designer on the faculty of Brigham Young University¿s Departments of Art and Design, where he also studied. Hull has done work for the LDS Church publication "Ensign," where his highly effective designs and illustration have often been seen. Capable of a huge number of image types, Richard Hull is particularly known for his fantasy art and illustrations for children's publications. (b. January 31)

Richard Hull is an Associate Professor and the 2D Design Coordinator in the Department of Visual Arts. He teaches illustration. He grew up on a farm, studied graphic design at BYU, was in the Marine Corps for two years, worked as the Art Director and Graphic Designer at The Ensign Magazine, and was hired full-time at BYU in 1987.
